Ford plans to produce 50% of its annual vehicle sales as electric vehicles by 2030. Over this year, Ford is investing $5 billion in EV production, double what it invested last year. The company also announced that it would reorganize into two units: Ford Blue for traditional ICE and diesel-powered vehicles and Model E for electric cars. Electric car demand from customers has increased significantly over recent years; yet unlike other automakers who are pledging to phase out gas-powered models from their product line, Ford refuses to make such a commitment about its own model range. |
